The D-Link Airspot DSA-3100P Ticket Printer is an optional accessory
specifically designed for use with the D-Link Airspot DSA-3100
Public/Private Gateway.
With the DSA-3100 and the DSA-3100P Ticket Printer, businesses and
organizations can provide free or fee-based broadband Internet
access to their customers or members. Now cafes, restaurants,
bookstores, airports lounges and terminals, hotels, resorts, golf
courses and country clubs, virtually any business venue, can
activate a wired or wireless hotspot and further enhance their
customers experience. A DSA-3100 and DSA-3100P enabled network can
also provide additional sources of revenue to any establishment. No
complex billing system is required, guaranteeing a quick and
convenient Internet experience for operators and their hotspot
users.
The DSA-3100P is hassle-free hotspot ticket printer that
communicates with the DSA-3100 Public/Private Gateway to generate
and print log-in usernames and passwords for the hotspot customers.
Patented for easy loading, the DSA-3100P is connected to the
DSA-3100 gateway via its RS-232 serial communication. With the
DSA-3100P, the DSA-3100 gateway can manage and store up to 2,000
user accounts in its internal database and support up to 50 logged-
in users at any time.
Using the DSA-3100P gives hotspot operators the ability to offer,
manage, and control user access to their Internet connection while
providing an added service for their paying customers or preferred
members. Venues operating a hotspot with unsupervised log-ins risk
the possibility of non-patrons within the range of the wireless
signal, accessing the Internet connection without purchasing a
hotspot operators products or services. Including the DSA-3100P
Ticket Printer with the DSA-3100 gateway prevents such a scenario
and helps to ensure that hotspot users are authorized, and if
required, paying customers.
